Celebrating Farm to School Month
October is Farm-to-School Month – a time to celebrate the connections between local food producers, school nutrition programs and students. We recently traveled with the Center for Ecoliteracy – our partner in the School Meals for All Coalition – to learn about Riverside Unified School District’s innovative model and how it might offer lessons to other districts seeking to build or expand their own local procurement practices.
